The Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR), organized by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) and hosted by the Government of the Philippines. will take place from October 14 to 18, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, Metro Manila. 

ARISE Philippines, together with our network members, will be hosting a series of special activities throughout the APMCDRR event, and we are delighted to invite you to join and actively participate in these engagements. Please refer to the attached calendar for a detailed schedule and to guide your participation. 

Also, we warmly welcome you to visit the ARISE Philippines Booth at the Forum Tent, where we will be showcasing our collective efforts in promoting disaster resilience. For those who have registered via Indico and received approval from the APMCDRR Secretariat, please review the guidelines below to assist with your preparations. We look forward to your involvement as we continue to champion disaster risk reduction and resilience-building together. 

Claiming of Badge

At the registration counter, kindly present a copy of the QR CODE found in your email (either printed or from a mobile device) and a personal identification document in the form of a valid PASSPORT or a nationally approved photo identification card. Please note that the details provided to the APMCDRR Secretariat using the Indico Registration System must match with the identification document. You may claim your badge and conference kit at the registration counter, which will open on 12 OCTOBER 2024, SATURDAY, beginning 1:00 PM, at the main lobby of the PICC. 

Information about the conference 

Participants are encouraged to visit https://apmcdrr.undrr.org/ to receive up-to-date information about the conference sessions and events. An Information Note is also available to help you prepare for your trip, including information on visa requirements, sponsored delegates, transportation, accommodation, etc. The APMCDRR 2024 Web App can be accessed starting 12 October 2024. ARRIVAL IN MANILA All arriving International Delegates are required to accomplish the eTravel Pass, or the Philippine Travel Information System, within 72 hours prior to your arrival in the Philippines. 

Accommodations

  • SPONSORED MINISTERS/HEADS OF DELEGATION PLUS ONE 
    • For Sponsored Ministers/Heads of Delegation and designated one accompanying personnel, the Government of the Philippines will cover accommodation in the pre-identified hotel. Designated Philippine Liaison Officers will reach out to your focal persons for hotel arrangements. 
  • SELF-SPONSORED PARTICIPANTS 
    • Self-Sponsored Participants are highly encouraged to make reservations directly with their preferred hotels.

Transportation

  • SPONSORED MINISTERS/HEADS OF DELEGATION PLUS ONE 

The Government of the Philippines will provide executive vehicles to Sponsored Ministers/Heads of Delegation and designated one accompanying personnel. Upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 or 3, Ministers/Heads of Delegation will be met by Philippine officials and their assigned Liaison and Security Officers. 

Liaison and Security Officers will accompany the Sponsored Ministers/Heads of Delegation for the duration of the conference. 

  • SELF-SPONSORED PARTICIPANTS 

Modes of transportation to and from the airport can be found in the Information Note. Shuttle services will be available for the duration of the conference. Schedules will be provided in due course.
