You are invited to the Private Sector Engagement in Urban Preparedness across Sub-Saharan Africa Webinar on 28 November 2023 at 15h Nairobi/12h Dakar.

United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), in coordination with the World Food Programme (WFP), have organized this webinar to engage and advance the private sector's participation in urban preparedness and resilience building by introducing relevant concepts and initiatives about urban preparedness in Africa. This webinar will shed light on collaborative effort of cities and the private sector and highlight how public-private engagement can impact Sub-Saharan Africa's resilience landscape.

The webinar builds upon the Making Cities Resilient 2030 (MCR2030) initiative and the Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE), led by UNDRR. The intersection of these initiatives and networks provides a unique opportunity for collaboration between the public and private sectors in disaster risk reduction and response across the continent. The webinar will highlight best practices and showcase UNDRR and WFP initiatives from across the region.

Please share with your network and register to join the webinar at the link below. Once you register, you will receive the Zoom link.
