ARISE United Arab Emirates

Launched in 2020

The United Arab Emirates ARISE Network was launched early September 2020 and was the first ARISE initiative in the region.

The UAE ARISE Network works to bring together private sector in the UAE for the purpose of implementing the Sendai Framework and building resilient societies  by changing the behaviour of stakeholders from the public and private sector in the country. ARISE members are committed to engaging in capacity development, education, and participating in the development of required policies, standards, tools and regulations through the private sector expertise and innovation to reduce disaster risks at the national and local level.

Current efforts are focused on SMEs, infrastructure resilience and advocacy. The network has signed an endorsed workplan in line with the Global ARISE Terms of Reference to achieve the outcomes and goals of the Sendai Framework.
